I have been digging out lately and found a collage with poem that I did in 1980. It is still so appropriate especially these days. Here it is: "Politics"

And the poem:
They ask us to send them money
to travel 'round the country
telling us how it will be,
clever Democracy.
Like watching a TV commercial-
which aspirin is the strongest degree.
They cut and slander each other,
They're all just a headache to me.

11 days into february already!

February 7, going north on 93 to New Hampshire. Truly a winter wonderland. (more from the trip)

Not much to report on as far as Art World Tapestry goes. I can't figure out why artists aren't joining. I will keep plugging away as I feel it could take off at any moment. I will be adding a guestbook to the site so maybe people will give me a hint then. Meanwhile I will be writing here, or more acurately showing here, new things I am working on as far as my own art. AND as always, looking for more graphic and web design business. I need to keep my company GROWING. I need to keep ArtWorldTapestry GROWING.

I would like to thank Sytiva Sheehan, a new art friend from across the country, who has wonderful faith in the project, so much so that she put a link to ArtWorldTapestry on her home page!

some clarity on the new year

My latest artwork is of a spiritual nature. I call this series "clarity" vessels. There is something about sight. It's wonderful to have it. Insight, it's wonderful to have that too.

I have a dream...

Happy New Year!

Just yesterday I told my sister, "I hate blogs."

But I continued and explained the reason. "It is purely a time factor. I don't have enough time in the day to read about someone else's life, much less WRITE about mine! I would love the luxury of being able to write, even once in a while."

So after realizing I didn't hate blogs, I was envious of blogs. After I realized I would love to be able to do one, I decided I am going to attempt one! I know I won't be writing every day. And I know I won't be writing a lot, but I will try.

I have something I want to tell the world about, and this seems a good place to start. So happy first entry to me!
